Job description

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Kinston, North Carolina.

Job Details :

  • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
  • Schedule includes 3x12 shifts with every other weekend and holidays as needed
  • No block scheduling - self-scheduling available
  • Nurse to patient ratio of 1 : 6
  • No specific call requirements but may depend on facility needs
  • 24 hours of orientation provided
  • Required certifications : BLS and NIH / Stroke Certification must be in hand
  • Preferred certifications : ACLS and CPI
  • EPIC charting system experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Previous charge experience preferred
  • Care for adult and geriatric patients with various medical conditions including End Stage Renal Disease, autoimmune disorders, pneumonia, CHF, and diabetes
  • Facilitate patient admission, treatment, and transfer processes
  • Manage post-catheterization patients and peritoneal dialysis patients
  • Perform dressing changes and wound vac management
  • Work with specialized equipment including PD cycler
  • Must be comfortable with blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, and various medical procedures
  • Candidates located within 50 miles are not eligible

    This healthcare organization operates a 42-bed Medicine Acute Care unit providing comprehensive medical care for patients with complex conditions. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The medical floor unit specializes in caring for patients with various conditions including stroke, cardiac issues, and dialysis needs, maintaining high standards of patient care with modern equipment and comprehensive support services.
