Commercial Underwriter

We're looking for a Commercial Underwriter to join our New Orleans lending team. This role is all about supporting our local businesses helping lenders evaluate loan requests, analyze financials, and make sound, relationship-driven credit decisions that strengthen our community.

Work closely with our commercial lenders to underwrite new and existing loan relationships.

Review financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow to assess credit quality.

Prepare clear, well-organized credit presentations for loan committee review.

Assist in structuring loans that meet both customer needs and the bank's policies.

Help monitor existing loan relationships and annual reviews.

Stay familiar with local market trends and keep our lending decisions community-focused.

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).

25 years of commercial credit or underwriting experience preferred.

Strong analytical and communication skills.

A team-first attitude and appreciation for community banking.

Working knowledge of Excel and financial analysis tools.
