Shift Forklift Operator

This role involves working in a food production environment where you will be responsible for driving a forklift and using a pallet jack to move products from the loading and unloading docks throughout the factory. You will also use an RF Scanner to scan products.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift in a food production environment.
• Use a pallet jack to transport products across the factory.
• Utilize an RF Scanner for product scanning.
• Ensure efficient loading and unloading of products.

Essential Skills

At least 6 months of experience driving a forklift, preferably in a production environment. Comfortable working in sub-zero temperatures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with an RF Scanner is preferred, but training will be provided if necessary. Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Work Environment

This role is based in a food production environment, specifically within a freezer warehouse with sub-zero temperatures. Employees can dress warmly to adapt to these conditions. You will occasionally work in the Weigh Pack / Cold Room, which is maintained at 34 degrees, for 20-30 minute intervals. A hair net and smock / lab coat are mandatory, and beard covers are required for those with facial hair. No jewelry, including wedding rings, is permitted on the production floor. Expect to stand for the entire shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33384.00 / yr.
