Event Technician, Audio Visual - The National, Autograph Collection
Position Overview : A Technician is responsible for the setup and operation of basic / small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This position reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director or Director, Event Technology.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation : Ensure a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section.
- Customer Service : Strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers; maintain a positive relationship with clients through effective communication; meet with guests on site to ensure their needs are met and equipment setup is working properly; monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day; understand and foster the hotel / client relationship.
- Technical Ability : Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues; handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
- Systems Knowledge : Understand company processes, follow procedures, and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately; use equipment sheets to determine equipment for setup and strike; interact with staff and outside vendors; utilize floor up-selling techniques; work with clients to finalize invoices; complete order entries in Navigator as needed.
Qualifications
High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.Internal applicants must meet training and certification requirements as determined by Encore’s Global Learning Training Program in their current position and for the position applied to.External applicants must meet and complete all training and certifications required for this position within one year.1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.Valid driver’s license required for team members that may operate Company vehicles; additional DOT requirements may apply.Must be able to lift 50 lbs.Competencies

Visual and auditory requirements also apply.
Note : Management reserves the right to revise duties as needed. Hourly Pay Range : $15.09 - $18.49. Compensation determined based on location, travel, experience, and skills; some positions may include overtime, bonuses or incentives. Benefits options are available for employees worldwide.
