Pay Range : $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Job Summary

Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager of the Endoscopy Unit, provides care for diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterological equipment. Responsible for the quality and effectiveness of the Endoscopy Unit equipment. Provides technical assistance during procedures under direction of the physician.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education

oHigh school diploma or equivalent required.

oGraduate of an accredited surgical technology program strongly preferred.

oSterile processing training course strongly preferred. On the job training may be provided.

oPrevious sterile processing or instrument technician experience strongly preferred.

oBLS healthcare provider is required within 3 months of hire.

oCertificate of completion from accredited surgical technology program preferred.

oSterile Processing Technician from International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) preferred. SGNA certification preferred.

oStrong organizational skill.

oExcels in being part of a high functioning team.

oStrong attention to detail.

oMust be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

oComputer skills required.

oAbility to maintain confidential information.
