You have :

  • A college degree in accounting
  • Three years’ experience as an associate in a public accounting firm or equivalent work experience
  • Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam (with preference given to candidates already holding the CPA credential)
  • The ability to review and prepare income tax returns of all types : C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, and Individual
  • Knowledge of tax research skills for communicating to clients and documenting client files
  • A keen eye for strategic business and tax consulting with a focus on tax minimization and risk management including :

    • Viewing partnership operating agreements to determine allocation of profits and losses

  • Assisting with merger and acquisition analysis / due diligence
  • Reviewing client trial balances for book / tax timing differences
  • Evaluating the propriety of depreciation methods and lives used
  • Assisting in accounting method changes
  • Reviewing multi-state operations for state filing requirements
  • Experience with supervising and training fellow associates
  • The ability to assist in federal and state controversy work

    • In this role, you will perform tasks related to functional taxation under the minimal direction of the supervisor, manager, and partners.
