Anesthesiology Physician

We are seeking 1 2 Board-Certified Anesthesiologists to join a well-supported hospital-based group in Waterloo, Iowa for a high-paying locum tenens assignment beginning in late September or early October 2025 .

Schedule & Coverage

Start : Late September or early October (must be able to start by then)

Duration : Ongoing

Monday to Friday : 6 : 30 AM 4 : 30 PM

Night Call : Every 3 4 days (1st, 2nd, 3rd call structure)

Weekend Call : Rotating, not fixed (1st call activated 75% of time)

Minimum Availability : 2 weeks per month accepted

No clinic responsibilities

️ Scope of Practice

General Anesthesia (including OB with TOLAC)

Light Peds (mainly tonsils / adenoids)

Conscious sedation required

No hearts or neurosurgery

EMR : Epic (live as of May 2025)

Support Staff : 6 physicians, 2 CRNAs

OR Volume : cases / day department-wide across 13 ORs

Compensation

Weekday hourly : $390 / hr

Night call : $598 / hr

24hr call : $2,660 / day (includes 4 gratis hours)

All travel, lodging, and malpractice covered

Requirements

Board Certified in Anesthesiology ( BE not accepted )

Active Iowa license or IMLC with LOQ in hand

ACLS (can be completed during credentialing)

Fully COVID vaccinated

Clean malpractice history required
