Food & Nutrition Operations Manager

Position Summary : We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Food & Nutrition Operations Manager. In this role, the successful candidate oversees all sanitation, purchasing, storeroom staff, and the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, walk-in refrigerators, and storeroom areas. This role manages procurement, equipment maintenance, and general kitchen upkeep, serving as the primary liaison with the Engineering Department and equipment vendors. The Manager ensures compliance with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) protocols and infection control guidelines, maintains an orderly and sanitary kitchen, dish room, and pot room environments, and supervises staff schedules to align with budgetary requirements.
Job Responsibilities :
Minimum Qualifications : To qualify you must have a Proven experience in foodservice operations management, sanitation, and inventory control. Bachelor's degree ServSafe Certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire) Minimum 5 years' experience in a foodservice setting with at least 2 years of managerial experience.
Preferred Qualifications : Experience in a healthcare or institutional foodservice setting. Familiarity with budgeting and labor scheduling software. Experience working in or with a unionized environment. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $77,258.68 - $133,271.23 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
