Field Engineer - Heavy Civil

Job Title : Field Engineer – Civil Construction

Overview :

We are seeking a Field Engineer to join our civil construction team. This role is ideal for someone with 3+ years of experience on excavation, sitework, heavy highway, bridge, or related infrastructure projects who is looking to grow into a Superintendent career path . This position is based locally with no travel required .

Responsibilities :

Assist the Superintendent and Project Manager with daily field operations.

Support project layout, quantity tracking, and documentation of work performed.

Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews to ensure project schedules and quality standards are met.

Review plans, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and constructability.

Monitor safety and quality control on active job sites.

Provide technical support and help resolve field issues as they arise.

Qualifications :

3+ years of experience in civil construction (excavation, sitework, heavy highway, or bridge projects).

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with AutoCAD or construction layout tools .

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Desire for career advancement into field leadership and superintendent roles .
