Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 18 months of experience and current BLS and CNMT or NMTCB certification for an adult nuclear cardiology setting.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a short-term acute care hospital in the nuclear medicine department
  • Adult patient population in nuclear medicine and cardiology settings
  • Procedures include gastric emptying, HIDA scan, Muga scan, 3-phase, whole body bone scan, liver imaging, perfusion, ventilation / perfusion, pharmacological and exercise / rest stress testing
  • Schedule is Monday through Friday with 8-hour day shifts, with start times varying from 5 : 00 AM to 9 : 00 AM
  • Weekly rotating on-call required for evenings, nights, and weekends including Saturday and Sunday
  • Floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals is required as needed
  • Uses Cerner charting system
  • Responsible for performing specialized nuclear medicine and cardiology imaging procedures
  • Must be able to multitask and work collaboratively as a team player
  • First-time travelers are welcome
  • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays as part of contract
  • Local candidates are accepted for allied positions
  • Returning employees must have a 12-month separation before applying as a traveler
  • Free parking available on-site
  • Isolation precautions may be required based on patient needs
  • Candidates can request up to 5 days of approved non-holiday time off; additional requests subject to approval
  • Professional attire or scrubs per department guidelines
  • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Minimum of 18 months experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Current BLS certification required
  • CNMT or NMTCB certification required
  • Experience in adult and nuclear cardiology settings required
  • Ability to start and maintain peripheral IVs
  • Experience with storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials required
  • License required if applicable
  • Pending IN state license accepted; must be in hand prior to start date
  • Graduation from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE
  • Must provide two supervisor references for consideration
