Accounting Assistant / Clerk

In this Accounting Assistant role, you will be an integral part of the Operational team, responsible for assisting with General Ledger duties and other peripheral accounting duties. This position is responsible for receiving, matching, and coding Account Payable and entering invoices into the QuickBooks system.

You will be responsible for reconciling the company credit card statement with monthly receipts and the company bank operating account, following up with missing approvals or receipts, and processing checks for payment of Account Payable within the required payment terms.

In this position, you will track DCS / DDD / Tribal contract services and create Account Receivable invoices, review invoices from DCS, and deliver all invoices to the respective customers on the first business day of each month.

You will be responsible for coding and entering all Account Receivable invoices into QuickBooks, recording and posting customer payments, and depositing customer payments into the company bank account.

This role will be a liaison to customers with denied payments and will be responsible for following up with the appropriate staff members and customers to resolve outstanding Account Receivable issues.

In this role you will :

• Process payroll as assigned.
• Process mileage reimbursements and checks for staff monthly.
• Track and process agency employee benefit invoices monthly.
• Track and reconcile monthly ledgers for client funds.
• Track licenses / level of care and route to management weekly.

You are a self-motivated and flexible team player.

You consider yourself to have strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

You have a good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

You take pride in your ability to maintain meticulous records and are detail oriented.

You have a High School diploma or GED and are ready to make an impact.
