JOB SUMMARY
The Safety Representative is responsible for the supervision and administration of project safety initiatives, compliance, and training programs designed to maintain a safe and healthy work environment and ensure compliance with established regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Two years construction / safety experience or equivalent combinations of training and related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company regulationsAbility to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures is essentialMust have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesKnowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is crucialExcellent written and oral communication skillsMust maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environmentJOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assume professional safety role and promote safe operationsAssist in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through interface with project management / supervisory personnelAssist in building of Job Hazard Analysis and Site-Specific Safety PlansAssist in supervision and administration of safety, compliance, and training activitiesParticipate in developing and conducting staff and craft safety training programs80 / 20 - 80% Walking the jobsite, conducting work area inspections, safety audits, observations and 20% document activities and office responsibilitiesDocument near misses, accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions / activities with company tools and platformsAssist in management of driver training, DOT compliance and records maintenanceSupport Safety Committee meetings and incident reviews as requiredAccompany safety, health, and insurance inspectors on walk through tours as requiredReview safety related journals, catalogs, etc. to keep abreast of changes / improvements in techniques, protective safety equipment, and materialPerforms other tasks and special projects as assignedCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS
