Position Summary

Catholic Health is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our outpatient Gastroenterology team. The ideal candidate will work closely with our gastroenterologists and support staff to provide comprehensive GI care in a fast-paced, patient-centered practice environment. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a well-established and respected GI program that serves a diverse patient population across Long Island.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and follow-up evaluations for patients with gastrointestinal conditions
• Take detailed patient histories, perform physical exams, and develop treatment plans
• Manage common GI issues such as GERD, IBD, IBS, liver disease, and GI bleeding under physician supervision
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including labs, imaging, and endoscopic procedures
• Provide pre- and post-procedure education and care
• Collaborate closely with supervising gastroenterologists and multidisciplinary care teams
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Participate in quality initiatives, clinical meetings, and ongoing education
• Support and uphold the mission and values of Catholic Health
