Job Title : Construction Project Manager

Position Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage commercial construction projects from pre-construction through completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing multi-story, multi-unit commercial projects, with at least 4 years of relevant project management experience . This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor management.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
  • Oversee the work of field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and quality project execution.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, owners, and other stakeholders throughout all phases of construction.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, RFIs, change orders, and cost reports.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project budgets and monitor job costs to ensure profitability.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues.
  • Lead project meetings and provide updates to internal teams and clients.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 4 years of project management experience in commercial construction , specifically with multi-story and multi-unit developments.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, scheduling, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
  • Ability to work on-site in Birmingham, AL, and travel to project locations as needed.
