Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $3,105 per week in Juneau, AK

Job Title : Circulating RN Profession : RN Specialty : Surgical Services / OR Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Variable Hours per Shift : 40 hours per week Experience : 2 years License : Current RN license Certifications : Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR / AED for the Professional Rescuer certification, ACLS by the American Heart Association Must-Have : Moderate sedation and PACU experience highly preferred Description : This position is for a Circulating RN. The Circulating RN is responsible for the delivery of care in the peri-operative setting. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and older adults. Coordinates with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, pre-operative and post-operative nurses, and surgical technicians. Maintains standards of professional nursing practice. May be asked to train other nurses. Equipment utilized in the unit includes computerized charting and Meditech. Shifts are varied but typically include Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, or three 12-hour shifts from 7 am to 7 : 30 pm, or 7 pm to 7 : 30 am. On-call night shifts may be required. The bed size for this unit includes 20 rooms. The nurse to patient ratio for this unit is 1 : 1. Dress code consists of scrubs provided by the facility.
