Position Summary :

As an Inpatient Registered Nurse, you will utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality patient-centered care. Your role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, effectively communicating patient conditions, and creating a safe therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct thorough assessments and reassessments of patient needs, including psychosocial and cultural aspects.

Manage pain effectively and educate patients and families on pain management strategies.

Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.

Follow medication management protocols to ensure patient safety.

Document nursing processes and patient responses accurately and on time.

Demonstrate flexibility and organization in high-pressure situations.

Create teaching plans based on patient learning needs and evaluate their effectiveness.

Practice autonomously, adhering to evidence-based standards.

Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.

Utilize physical and psychological techniques to manage potentially violent situations.

Qualifications :

Graduation from an accredited nursing school and a current Registered Nurse license in Connecticut.

Trained in de-escalation techniques, certified within the orientation period.

Certified in RQI within three months of hire.

Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).

Basic computer skills and the ability to respond swiftly in emergencies.
