Immediate contract opportunity for Lead Master Data Management SME Consultant in New York, NY. Description : Our client in NYC, NY Needs a hands-on business-focused technology consultant to lead Client Master MDM solution and a small team that covers institutional and wealth management channels and manages data about organizations and associated contacts. The ideal candidate will have functional knowledge in Master Data Management as well as Asset / Wealth Management distribution. You will learn new technologies, working on constantly upgrading your skill set and the products you work on to be at-par with the best in the industry. You will innovate and solve technical challenges in an effective manner that emphasizes a long-term vision. You will design and deliver solutions for wealth management and Institutional asset management business initiatives. Qualifications & Experience :

• Deep knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) principles, end-to-end processes, architectures, protocols, patterns, and technologies. Must have hands-on operational experience working with data stewards and product owner.
• Responsible for Analyzing Master Data and identifying trends and patterns that can be used to improve business process and decision-making.
• Must have hands-on experience using Semarchy MDM and other MDM tools like Informatica and the data rules, etc. that are embedded within those tools for data merging, cleansing, and enrichment.
• Must be comfortable using SQL, which will likely be needed, on a daily basis.
• Ideally, should understand Mutual Fund distribution and Asset Management, and be able to work with, and guide, business users in defining appropriate business rules for creating master data.
• Provide expertise and guidance on MDM best practices and help organization implement MDM Solutions.
• Extensive experience with market and reference data in the context of capital markets or investment management.
• Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight.
• Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, data quality management and data governance principles is a big plus.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to negotiate and influence critical decisions and work collaboratively with product owner.
