Description

Role : The VP Retail mentors, leads and directs all solutions-based activities of the retail branches within the assigned region; designs, recommends and executes short and long term sales, people and asset growth strategies; and enforces policies and procedures to remain compliant with all regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Delivers Credit Union strategic objectives at business line level; observes and coaches the management team to deliver balanced performance and business growth; promotes balanced performance and business / asset growth through observation, coaching and development of the AVPs and Managers, and builds accountability and support. Facilitates individual meetings for employee recognition, observation, coaching and development of direct reports.
- Participates and / or represents Retail in committees, projects, and department meetings that impact the members' experience or impacts the front line; co-facilitates Branch Managers' meetings for consistency in leadership across the Branch Network; conducts separate regional meetings.
- Reviews reports to monitor and recommend adjustments to the Retail strategy to achieve Credit Union Corporate goals as warranted; monitors budget expenses and variances. Conducts annual performance reviews of managers and staff in assigned region.
- Communicates with ALM and / or CXO quarterly production budget. Aligns service and production goals for Branches to the Credit Union Corporate goals and Strategy. Reviews, modifies and approves all branch budgets for the Retail Department regions.
- Works with the CXO to create, organize, delegate and follow up on Retail Projects / Initiatives that align with the Strategic Plan of the Credit Union.
- Serves as a Credit Union representative in Civic / Association events.
- Conducts Branch visits for observation of Branch appearance and member interactions with Branch staff.
- When warranted, participates in interviews for all Retail areas, and provides feedback and guidance in the selection. Interviews and hires all of VP Retail direct reports.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience : Eight or more years of experience in financial institution Retail Management is required. Three or more years leading retail sales and service in a multiple-unit setting such as a district or region is required.
Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Management / Leadership certifications preferred but not required.
