Warehouse Associate
In this position, you will be cross trained in multiple roles / functions within the company's Warehousing Departments and will be expected to perform intermediate to advanced functions within those areas. This role will support both the physical and systematic sides of the warehouse environment. Not only will you pick, pull, and store materials, you will be responsible for issuing materials, relieving inventory, and planning warehouse priorities based on the production schedule and inventory on hand. In addition, this role will support leadership with training and resource coordination.
Your role :
- Help to coordinate daily warehouse priorities based on the production schedule and inventory levels
- Serve as a "go to" backup in the absence of Department Leadership
- Receive products upon delivery, ensuring proper documentation has been completed
- Store received items in proper inventory location and / or deliver to appropriate team members
- Pull inventory according to the production schedule or as requested from the production team
- Monitor and support material flow from and to the assigned area(s)
- Complete all computer / systemic transactions for all rework and bin transfers
- Complete quality inspections of incoming inventory
- Assist with asset tagging and storing of Company Property
- Communicate inventory levels to affected teams in order to maintain departmental organization
- Review and update applicable reports
- Oversee other associates during the cycle / physical count process
- Help to oversee Associates that are rotating into and out of the department in supporting roles
- Track and audit inventory
- Support continuous improvement initiatives around Safety, Quality, and Productivity and lead by example
- Help to enforce company safety policies and procedures
- Assist Department Leadership with new associate training and team member skill training
- Assist Department Leadership with ensuring shift production paperwork is accurately completed, as requested
- Other duties as assigned
Basic qualifications :
2+ years of experience in a related warehouse positionMust be able to complete all warehousing functions of the Production Associate roleAbility to lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basisIntermediate computer skillsAbility to meet and maintain certification requirements to operate various types powered industrial trucks (ex. forklift, aerial lift, order picker, scissor lift, etc.)Preferred qualifications :
