Staff Tax Accountant

Public Accounting firm, originally founded over 40 years ago, providing Tax, accounting and business advisory services is seeking a full-time in office Tax Accountant. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical tax preparation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects with specific filing deadlines. This position will have direct access to firm partners to assist in the candidate’s professional development.

General Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and Analyzing Tax documents both internally as well as assisting clients to maintain accurate tax records
• Accurately preparing 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120-S tax returns along with other required tax filings, ensuring compliance with relevant tax code

Skills and Qualifications:

• 3 – 5 years of tax preparation experience.
• Education: A bachelor's degree or equivalent tax preparation experience
• Enrolled Agent preferred, but not required
• Attention to Detail, meticulous accuracy in financial reports and records is crucial.
• Technical Proficiency with Tax Preparation software like Ultratax CS, or similar tax preparation software packages, Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential.
• Communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
