American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Care (LTC) Long Term Care for a travel nursing job in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.

Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position in Wisconsin requiring 2 years of LTC experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a long term care unit
  • Patient ratio is 1 RN per hall with a med tech and CNA support; CNA ratio is 1 : 8-10 on days and 1 : 20 on nights
  • Primarily works day shifts : 4 or 5 shifts per week, alternating weeks, 6 : 30am - 3 : 00pm
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
  • Floating to other areas within the hospital may be required
  • Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), AIDET communication, and hourly rounding are required practices
  • Modules are completed during orientation and tracked via Kronos
  • Travelers cannot live within a 60 mile radius of the facility
  • Returning travelers cannot work at this facility for more than 52 weeks without a 1-year break
  • Holiday time off is limited to one holiday if multiple occur during the assignment
  • COVID-19 vaccine is not required
  • Participation in emergency response activities may be required

    • Requirements

  • Active WI or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of long term care RN experience required
  • Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
  • Experience with IVs, PICCs, and wound care preferred
  • Background check and compliance documentation must be completed within 48 hours of signing
  • Must provide at least 2 professional references, one from a supervisor
