Overview :
The Production Engineer plays a key role in ensuring that the assigned production area operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position is responsible for monitoring day-to-day operations, optimizing unit performance, and supporting production goals related to throughput, quality, raw material and energy efficiency. The Production Engineer contributes directly to business performance by driving improvements in real-time operating results and identifying opportunities for continuous optimization.
Key Objectives :
Maximize unit performance to achieve targets for yield, quality, and reliability.
Support annual productivity and cost-saving goals through proactive performance tracking.
Accurately document production losses and implement corrective actions to minimize reoccurrence.
DUTIES :
Track and analyze key process and operational indicators to assess unit performance.
Maintain and update performance monitoring tools and process targets.
Conduct troubleshooting and basic optimization to address performance variances.
Record and categorize production losses while coordinating improvement activities.
Collaborate with production and technical teams to drive unit performance toward established goals.
Support compliance initiatives and assist with management of change (MOC) processes.
Provide technical guidance and training to operators as needed.
Participate in production planning, data tracking, and reporting activities.
Maintain accurate and current process safety and technical documentation.
Partner with engineering, maintenance, and business teams to optimize plant operations.
Identify and implement technology upgrades, process improvements, and cost-reduction projects.
Escalate complex technical challenges requiring advanced modeling or engineering support.
