Stagnaro Distributing has an excellent opportunity to provide services as a Sales Representative in the beer business!

Job Requirements :

  • Meet or exceed all sales goals as assigned by management.
  • Provide to retailers the highest levels of customer service.
  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience working as a sales representative with industry knowledge.
  • Proper knowledge of the East side of Cincinnati area.
  • Maintains handheld unit and cellphone in working order
  • Responsibilities :

  • Has working knowledge of the entire portfolio of brands.
  • Has working knowledge of sale history for each account.
  • Meets or exceeds all sales volume goals.
  • Meets or exceeds all sales display goals.
  • Meets or exceeds all sales distribution goals.
  • Meets or exceeds all sales standard goals.
  • Prepares and works from a daily itinerary with a minimum of 2 sales objectives for each account.
  • Prepares, carries and utilizes all necessary sales support tools.
  • Announces self and establishes a positive relationship with each retailer.
  • Surveys the entire account for display, promotion, distribution (resets) and POS opportunities.
  • Maintains product rotation and freshness in all assigned accounts.
  • Merchandises the account with current POS.
  • Takes inventory for all products and recommends inventory increases when necessary.
  • Sell in objectives for the account and works to overcome objections from the retailer.
  • Secures the commitment, closes the sale and thanks the retailer.
  • Documents and executes follow-up.
  • Works with supplier personnel as directed by management.
  • Completes and submits all paperwork in a correct and timely fashion.
  • Understands and adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to all applicable Federal, State and Local regulations regarding the sale, merchandising and delivery of product.
  • Adheres to all applicable Federal, State and Local safety regulations when using equipment and vehicles.
  • Operates in a safe manner and promotes safety during all working hours.
  • Works with other employees to ensure that team building, professionalism and a positive environment occur in the company.
  • Creates and maintains positive and open lines of communication between all working departments.
  • Works to resolve all customer complaints within 24 hours and ensures there are no recurring problems.
  • Promotes responsible consumption throughout the marketplace.
  • Maintains appropriate dress and appearance.
  • Attends all meetings, promotional activities and company functions when requested.
  • Stays abreast of market activity and reports relevant information to management.
  • Performs any other necessary duties as directed by management.

    Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

    The noise level in the environment is normally mild to moderate.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.

    Stagnaro Distributing was originally Hamilton Distributing located in Hamilton, Ohio. In the late 70’s Arthur Stagnaro purchased Hamilton Distributing which was a 1 million case distributorship that serviced two Ohio counties, Butler and Preble. Two of Arthurs son’s Michael and Chris began working full time in the company in 1995 and 1997 and began to learn all aspects of the business with aspirations to grow.

    That opportunity to grow came in 2003 through the sale of Hamilton Distributing and the simultaneous purchase of Dennert Distributing of Northern Kentucky which tripled the company's size. For the next 6 years, the company made a series of acquisitions culminating with the purchase of Dennert Distributing of Cincinnati in February of 2009. The companies were then renamed Stagnaro Distributing and today we sell, market within a 28-county footprint throughout Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.
