This role focuses on maintaining and improving plant equipment and infrastructure to support the heat treatment of metals. A typical day includes :
Performing routine and preventive maintenance on industrial equipmentInstalling and repairing new machineryTroubleshooting mechanical and electrical issuesGeneral facility upkeep such as painting, replacing lighting, basic repairs, etc.Using prints and schematics to complete tasksPerforming basic MIG welding and working with hand toolsOperating a forklift and lifting up to 50 lbs when neededKeeping work areas clean and safe at all timesRequired Qualifications
2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing settingProficient in reading blueprints and mechanical schematicsBasic knowledge of electrical systems and componentsMIG welding skills (basic level acceptable)Forklift experienceStrong problem-solving mindset and mechanical aptitudeAbility to work in hot conditions and confined spacesCan lift, bend, and stand for extended periodsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal in English)Must be able to work overtime and occasional weekendsWorkplace Environment
