Position : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical / Surgical Location : Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, MI Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM Assignment Type : Travel

Overview

Marquette General Hospital is seeking an experienced Travel RN to join the Medical / Surgical unit. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering high-quality patient care while exercising strong clinical judgment.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the Medical / Surgical unit.

Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately.

Administer medications and perform bedside procedures.

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.

Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.

Respond promptly to changes in patient status with sound clinical judgment.

Must-Have Skills / Experience

Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Preferred Skillset / Experience

Prior experience on a medical / surgical unit.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan or compact state eligibility.

Minimum of 2 years of recent Med / Surg nursing experience preferred.

Required certifications : BLS (Basic Life Support).

Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
