Job Summary
The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the company’s procurement activities. This role involves coordinating with local and international suppliers, issuing and following up on purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and assisting with logistics coordination to ensure smooth and timely supply of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in purchasing by identifying, evaluating, and selecting qualified local vendors in accordance with company standards and cost objectives.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with suppliers, including handling routine communications, performance feedback, and issue resolution.
- Create, process, and follow up on purchase orders (POs) to ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation.
- Monitor and track PO status, delivery schedules, and inventory levels; proactively address any delays or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the logistics department to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, delivery documentation, and customs requirements when necessary.
- Work closely with finance to verify invoices, receipts, and payment schedules.
- Support procurement reporting and maintain accurate purchasing records in the ERP system or internal database.
- Contribute to cost optimization initiatives, vendor audits, and process improvements in the local supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and procurement procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
1–3 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain (manufacturing or trading industry experience preferred).Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within a growing international organization, leveraging strong technical expertise and exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and time zones.Good knowledge of local supplier markets and procurement practices.Strong negotiation skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up abilities.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiar with ERP or procurement systems.Basic understanding of logistics and import / export coordination is a plus.Powered by JazzHR
