Senior Project Managers are fully client-facing. They own the budget, schedule, scope, and relationship -ultimately, they're accountable for the successful delivery of each program. In some cases, a client like T-Mobile might be divided among multiple PMs, but the goal is to assign one PM per client wherever possible.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage a team composed of PMs, Field PMs, and Coordinators
Own bids, budgets, schedules, and subcontractor vetting
Define clear scopes of work and align internal and external stakeholders on expectations
Create process guardrails so each team member has a defined roadmap
Handle direct client communication and escalations
Ensure internal coordination (e.g., reporting, billing, punch lists) is airtight
Guide your team's pace, decision-making, and day-to-day execution
Field Operations Insight :
You'll act as the central escalation point when issues arise or critical decisions are needed-your construction knowledge will drive rapid resolutions and client confidence
50%-70% of travel to project sites
Team Dynamics & Execution Model :
Internal buildouts may be staffed with Apex W2 teams or subcontractors depending on the project (typically 70 / 30 W2 to sub mix for non-permitted work; 60 / 40 sub to W2 for permitted)
Team size varies from 1 to 12+ depending on scope (e.g., one person for door hardware swaps, full teams for gut-and-rebuild restrooms or training rooms)
Ideal Traits

Self-directed, fast-paced, with the grit to make high-stakes calls
Thrives in ambiguity and knows how to "build guardrails" for others
