SUMMARY OF POSITION :

Radiology Outpatient Care Unit encompasses 12 pre and post-procedural rooms. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the preparation and recovery (Phase 1 and Phase 2) of a variety of pediatric and adult radiology patients. Additional responsibilities include blood administration, monitoring cardiac CTA, IV hydration pre and post procedure, Mediport access and de-access. The Radiology Outpatient Care Nurse also completes pre-procedural calls and provides pre-procedural instructions based upon institutional protocols.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S) :

Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.

AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S) :

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

RN with two (2) or more years critical care or Emergency Department experience required, must be within the last two (2) years.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

BSN preferred
