Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant – Travel Position

Location : Columbia, TN

Job Type : Travel Contract

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 5x8s Days

Pay : $1,815 / week

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a home health team in Columbia, TN, on a travel contract. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide care to patients in their homes, focusing on mobility, functional independence, and quality of life. The ideal candidate is adaptable, patient-centered, and experienced in home health or rehabilitation settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, mobility, balance, and overall function.
• Educate patients and families on safe mobility techniques and home exercise programs.
• Document therapy visits, progress, and patient responses accurately in accordance with home health guidelines.
• Communicate patient status and concerns with the supervising PT and interdisciplinary care team.
• Assist patients in achieving independence while ensuring safety in the home environment.
• Adhere to infection control standards, safety policies, and best practices for home health care.
