Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details : \n

  • Work in 8-bed Intensive Care Unit with 2 : 1 patient ratios

    • \n

  • Mixed patient population in open ICU setting with goal staffing of 4 RNs 24 / 7

    • \n

  • Self-scheduling encouraged with every other weekend requirement

    • \n

  • Overtime available if needed with flexible scheduling options

    • \n

  • May float to critical care or intermediate care areas when needed

    • \n

  • Medical and Surgical ICU experience required

    • \n

  • ACLS and BLS certifications required

    • \n

  • IABP experience and CCRN certification preferred

    • \n

  • Professional scrubs and appearance required at all times (specific color not required)

    • \n

  • Work with GE B650 cardiac monitors, ventilators, and Gaymar cooling equipment

    • \n

  • Use Meditech documentation system

    • \n

  • Perform ventilator care, therapeutic hypothermia, PCI / STEMI, IABP procedures

    • \n

  • Handle invasive hemodynamic monitoring, TEE / cardioversion, temporary pacing

    • \n

  • Manage sepsis, stroke / TPA, and DKA cases

    • \n

  • Serve as responder for Code Blue and Rapid Response Team

    • \n

  • Participate in AIDET validation during orientation

    • \n

  • Focus on nurse communication, white board use, hourly rounding, and bedside care conferences
