Overview
Power System Design Electrical Engineer at HP UK – we are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead multiple project teams and oversee the entire process of product design and development. In this role, you will ensure that all designs and project activities adhere to the highest technology and development standards. Your advanced subject matter expertise will be crucial in providing valuable insights to cross-organizational projects, driving innovation, and integrating cutting-edge technologies into our initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Leads multiple project teams of electrical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of electrical hardware design and development for complex products, solutions, and platforms.
- Conducts part qualification processes through implementation of product quality plans, equipment inspections, factory witness testing, and manufacturing process qualifications.
- Expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on electrical hardware design and development.
- Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; provides actionable feedback to improve product quality.
- Identifies trends and opportunities for optimizing product and solution output, quality enhancements, and cost of delivery.
- Provides domain-specific expertise and leadership in electrical / electronic hardware and platforms to cross-organizational projects, programs, and activities.
- Develops cost estimates, business cases, appropriation requests, and plans for electrical / hardware engineering projects.
- Leads delivery of professionally written reports and supports realization of operational and strategic plans.
- Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities within the electrical hardware design organization.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff to promote excellence in electrical hardware design and development.
Education & Experience
Four-year or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.7–10 years of work experience, preferably in electrical power design and related tools, software packages, hardware architecture, or a related field.Knowledge & Skills

The pay range for this role is USD 115,850 to USD 178,400 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and / or equity (applies to United States candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
