Club General Manager
Lead a team to deliver Planet Fitness’s “Judgment Free” member experience while driving club profitability.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospects, and guests.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high‑performing team of Assistant Managers, Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians.
- Schedule team members and ensure all shifts are covered.
- Lead by example and coach direct reports to align with PF values and goals.
- Administer weekly employee payroll.
- Resolve employee issues with diplomacy and professionalism.
- Escalate member, staff, and club issues to the Area Manager.
- Manage front‑desk activities : answer phones, check members in, facilitate tours and new‑member sign‑ups, and handle member requests.
- Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of the facility and ensure member safety.
- Communicate equipment repair needs promptly.
- Manage marketing efforts by training the team on all promotions.
- Authorize expenditures and refunds; make daily bank deposits when applicable.
- Prepare all HR‑related forms and send them to Corporate Payroll.
Qualifications & Requirements
At least 1 year of management experience.At least 2 years of customer service experience with exceptional service skills.Basic computer proficiency.A passion for fitness and health.High energy, upbeat, and positive attitude.Strong listener with empathy and problem‑solving ability.High school diploma / GED preferred.Must be 18 years of age or older.Physical Demands
Continual standing and walking during shift.Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.Exposure to cleaning chemicals during shift.Movement including bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and twisting.Mission Statement
