Opportunity
Responsible for managing all food and beverage operations within Riverbend, in accordance with company standards. Responsible for achieving sales and operational objectives, enhancing the guest experience, and driving associate engagement.
Primary responsibilities :
- Overseeing and leading the delivery of consistent luxury service standards throughout the property
- P&L management of Riverbend Food and Beverage Operations
- Delivery of planned food, wine, liquor and F&B labor cost, capital projects, and menu development
Associate Engagement
Responsible for ensuring Restaurant Leaders provide gracious supervision of all associates who work within Riverbends establishments and ensure a targeted level of engagement amongst direct reports.Ensures Restaurant Leaders and Chefs are taking a lead role in the training, integrating, and establishment of performance expectations for their teams for both front and back of house.Approves overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of outlet personnel provided by outlet Restaurant Leaders.Oversees, guides, and supports the work of direct reports.Fulfills management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Establishes performance expectations, regularly appraises performance against expectations, and provides ongoing feedback, reward, and redirection consistently.Plays a lead role in assisting Restaurant Leaders in the development of their teams, primarily from an exempt capacity.Addresses performance issues and guest concerns. Devises a plan of action to resolve issues.Business Management
Responsible for profitability of Riverbend Food and Beverage operations.Oversees and drives cost controls of food, labor, and non-perishable supplies at all Riverbend outlets. Sharing best practices with all outlets.In conjunction with the Food and Beverage Leadership, ensures the proper inventory controls of all perishable and non-perishable goods are in place for each food & beverage operation.Supervises the quality of all food and beverage service.Ensures areas are profitable according to plan, and a consistent Five-Star quality of service is provided for every guest.Ensures no cash policies and standards are maintained through the InfoGenesis Point of Sale system and consistently being managed throughout all food and beverage operations.Reviews all proposals made by the Restaurant Leaders with Food and Beverage Leadership to evaluate formulated ideas, concepts, cost, and marketing of all menus.Guides Restaurant Leaders and Chefs in the development of strategic, financial, capital, and workforce plans.Maintains complete knowledge and strictly abide by government liquor regulations to protect the integrity of the reputation of Kohler Hospitality.Drives standardization of restaurant outlet policies and procedures i.e., tips, scheduling, on-boarding, and full induction training for new associates.Is accountable for Food & Beverage service staff to know and understand how to describe the various menu items, overall food products and new menu concepts / implementation in conjunction with the Food and Beverage Leadership.Guest Satisfaction To ensure the seamless flow of product and Five-Star service excellence at Riverbend Food & Beverage Outlets, through a coordinated approach between Front and Back of the House production operations, with high regard for guest service.Ensures Five-Star standard operating procedures are consistently delivered in any Riverbend Food and Beverage Outlets and grooming standards.Ensures Restaurant Leaders are utilizing guest feedback in designing action plans to improve service.Monitors and manages guest complaints, ensures guest satisfaction and consistency.Works with Kohler Food & Beverage Directors on major events to ensure a minimum of 10% profitability goals are met for these events.Plays a lead role in managing the marketing and advertising that is being done for Riverbend Food and Beverage Outlets and Events to ensure focus is placed appropriately.Skills / Requirements
Bachelor's degree with a strong Food & Beverage culinary focus preferred.Eight years' applicable experience overseeing multiple outlets with front and back of house responsibility. The ideal candidate will have Five-Star, Five Diamond experience.Strong knowledge of wines.Proven ability to manage multiple units over varying meal periods and cuisine styles.Resort and restaurant industry relationships required.Strong background in cost management for food, beverage, labor, service excellence and other operating expenses. Command of menu structure, pricing, and formatting.Extensive knowledge of food preparation, wine selection, and bar management.Demonstrated skill in strategic planning.Capable of effectively managing both front and back of house operations; as a result, strong interpersonal and leadership skills are essential.Food Manager Certification and Liquor License required or completion of this certificate within first 30 days of employment.Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus / variable incentive compensation.
