Responsibilities Work in an acute care medical center with a Level IV Trauma, Critical Access Hospital designation Labor and Delivery unit with patients requiring full LDRP skillset Patient care includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn Epic EMR is used and experience is required Floating may be required within scope to meet facility needs, including to other facilities within the state Shifts are 3x12 variable; will be either straight days or straight nights, determined closer to the start date Weekend work is required No on-call responsibilities Facility provides free parking Scrub color is flexible—any or business casual is acceptable Position includes responsibilities across the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum spectrum, as well as newborn care First-time travelers are accepted for this position All travelers are expected to float as required Holiday and variable coverage will be needed according to unit and hospital schedule Facility provides housing (typically a one-bedroom apartment) and a rental vehicle for the duration of the assignment; pets are not allowed in housing Only the traveler is permitted to drive the provided vehicle, which is for use within a 30-mile radius of the facility Housing and vehicle are available to the traveler no earlier than 72 hours before the contract begins and for up to 24 hours after it ends Travelers are responsible for cleaning housing and vehicles before departure to avoid additional fees Requirements Active AK RN license or evidence of application (pending accepted, license issuance can take 6-8 weeks) Minimum 1 year of recent L&D experience Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate LDRP experience is required Epic EMR experience is required Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-633272.
