Case Mix : Infectious Disease consults, inpatient and outpatient

EMR System : Meditech and Epic

Specialty Backup Available : All specialties except Rheumatology and Genetics

Support Staff Available : None (solo coverage)

Reason for Coverage : Covering provider PTO / vacation

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required : Yes (Emergency Privileges available)

Temporary Privileges Available : Yes (Emergency Privileges)

Credentialing Timeline : 21 days

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered (Mileage, Airfare, Lodging up to $175 / night, Parking, Rental Car & Fuel, Ground Transportation)

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Consults and management of infectious disease patients

Inpatient rounding and follow-up consults

Outpatient coverage as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses : Active Maryland license required (IMLC not accepted)

Board : Board Certified in Infectious Disease

DEA : Active DEA Certification required

Certifications : CSR License required

Experience : Minimum 1 year

Other Qualifications : Proficiency with Meditech and Epic EMR

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Round on inpatients and respond to consult requests

Provide infectious disease coverage Monday through Friday, 8a 5p

Manage average 2 admissions during call hours

Cover inpatient and outpatient infectious disease needs during provider PTO

Collaborate with hospital staff and other specialties as needed

Work independently as the sole covering physician
