Locum Pediatric Physician – 24-Hour Call Coverage
Location : Pendleton, OR
St. Anthony Hospital is actively seeking 1–2 experienced Pediatric Physicians to provide locum 24-hour call coverage . This is an excellent opportunity to work with a supportive team in a low-volume, rural setting with well-defined responsibilities and minimal inpatient load.
The role includes round-the-clock call coverage for pediatric and newborn care, including consults from the ED and coverage for neonatal patients on the med-surg floor. No clinic or office visits required.
Schedule :
- 24-hour call shifts
- Average 1–4 hours on-site per day
- No NICU – provider must stabilize and transfer if needed
- Independent solo coverage; no backup available

Job Requirements
Requirements
Board Certified in Pediatrics (or IM / FM with strong pediatric + neonatal experience)Active Oregon Medical License (or willing to obtain)Completion of a 3-year Pediatric Residency – RequiredPALS & NRP Certifications – RequiredRecent experience managing at least 24 inpatient pediatric cases in the past 24 monthsMust be proficient in :
Neonatal resuscitation
Intubation
Line placement
Administering emergency medications
Stabilizing and transferring critically ill newborns
Clean malpractice and background preferredLocal candidates preferred (no flights)Benefits
