Job description

Other Physician at ProTouch Staffing summary :

The position involves providing PRN medical examinations primarily for Veterans, focusing on family medicine, internal medicine, and orthopedic surgery. The role requires conducting interview-based assessments with some physical examinations, without prescribing or treating patients. Candidates should have their own office, possess certifications in DMA training, and be familiar with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular evaluations.

Locations Available- Please note at the time of name clear :

Must be within 50 miles

VES facility open locations

  • Springfield- 4 days per week needed

Provider s own office locations- Provider must have their own office

  • Centralia- 2 days per week needed
  • Carbondale- 2 days per week needed
  • Peru- 1 day per week needed
  • Vienna- 1 day per week needed
  • Family medicine,
  • Internal medicine
  • Orthopedic surgery,
  • Anyone with a background in general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension.

    • 1099 compensation :

  • $600 for half day (4 hours)
  • $1300 for full day (8 hours)
  • $650 for completing all required training and starting assignment

    • Details :

  • Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
  • Willing to accept these specialties : family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, etc, or anyone with a background in general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension.
  • Two (2) options for coverage - Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and / or schedule Veterans within your own practice
  • Option to work days(4-hours) and / or full days(8-hours)
  • One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
  • Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment : range of motion testing, muscle strength testing.
  • No prescribing, no treatment
  • Quick credentialing & onboarding
  • DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
  • Use of Goniometer required
  • Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
  • Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
  • Own personal laptop (NO MACs)

    • The provider will need to complete their DMA training.
