FB Timberline is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician / Wireman (full-time, permanent) to support our team and their operations on various projects based out of North Carolina. Out-of-state candidates will be eligible for a 30 / 7 (30 days on, seven days off) rotation.
The Journeyman Electrician / Wireman is responsible for installing, commissioning and testing primary and secondary power equipment in the field which includes maintaining medium to high-voltage substation power delivery equipment such as breakers, switchgears, circuit breakers, relays and transformers.

Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every dayUse wire termination and component layout tools including but not limited to strippers, wire cutters, wire crimpers, screwdrivers, tee square, machinist square, tape measure, wrenches and pliersFollow company established practices for wire termination, routing, bundles, wire harnesses and wire numbersWire complete panels per drawings including back panels and wiring between devices / componentsMount electrical components including circuit breakers, switches, transformers, relays, contactors, terminals, input / output devices and / or all other related switchgear electrical devicesElectrical part installation such as : relays, meters, switches, etc.Wiring : Anchoring, tie-wrapping, routing, push buttons, flagging, & wire taggingCrimping and Wire / Cable StrippingAcceptance and maintenance testing of electrical equipmentInstallation, commissioning and maintenance of protection and control equipment in medium to high-voltage transmission substationsInterpret blueprints, analyze test reports and recommend corrective actionsWork with high voltage equipment such as circuit breakers, transformers, switches and control circuits for protection, indication and monitoring systemsSupervise, mentor and train junior techniciansCalibrate electronic equipment and instruments, when neededPerform other tasks related to this function as assignedWhat We Are Looking For :
Minimum three (3) + years of electrical experience is requiredValid Journeyman certification is requiredDemonstrated knowledge of hand, electric, air tools and some vibrating tools is requiredConscientious, thorough, accurate and reliable when performing and completing job tasksAbility to read prints including : specification sheets, wiring diagrams, schematics, three-line drawings, wiring lists, and part drawingsAble to work effectively within the team and around other departments and their activitiesAble and willing to present a valid CDL and acceptable drivers abstractAble and willing to travel to various works sites as per project / job needsDisclaimer : As per client / site requirements, candidates may be required to undergo pre-access screening
