Assistant Program Director Nursing Education

Join our dynamic team as the Assistant Program Director for our Nursing Program. This full-time leadership role is ideal for an experienced RN with a strong foundation in teaching, clinical supervision, and program development. Youll play a pivotal role in managing faculty, overseeing clinical partnerships, ensuring program compliance, and shaping the next generation of nurses. Key Responsibilities Program Oversight & Compliance Develop, plan, implement, and evaluate all program activities. Ensure full compliance with BVNPT and Board of Nursing standards, including timely reporting (e.g., faculty termination within 10 days). Prepare detailed reports, proposals, self-studies, surveys, and site visit documentation. Faculty & Curriculum Leadership Participate in hiring, training, and scheduling of faculty and clinical instructors. Lead regular faculty meetings and maintain accurate records. Oversee curriculum development, instructional quality, and strategic academic planning. Student Experience & Support Advise and support prospective and enrolled students. Oversee the student admission process, orientation, and documentation for graduation/licensure. Monitor and maintain clinical site evaluations and student performance data. Clinical Partnership Management Evaluate, secure, and maintain contracts with clinical sites. Conduct clinical site assessments to ensure safe, high-quality learning environments. Foster relationships with healthcare organizations to expand learning opportunities. Administrative Duties Serve on institutional committees and Nursing Advisory Boards. Ensure policies and procedures are current and consistently applied. Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain required CE hours. Qualifications Required: Active and unencumbered RN license in California . BSN or higher from an accredited institution. Minimum 3 years of nursing experience , with at least 1 year in teaching or clinical supervision within the last 5 years . Coursework in teaching, curriculum development, or administration . Ability to teach up to 50% of work hours in a classroom or clinical setting. Preferred: MSN degree strongly preferred. 3+ years of nursing leadership or administrative experience . 3+ years as a Nursing Instructor (Vocational or Registered Nursing). 1+ year as a Clinical Instructor (highly preferred).
