Job description

Hybrid onsite 1 day per week. Location : Fairfield county, just off the Merritt Parkway.

Compensation : $165,000-$185,000 base + 15%-30% bonus

Position Summary :

The Director of Channel & Product Management is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for driving growth within the Industrial Business Unit, the companys largest and most complex division. This newly created role blends product management and channel strategy, owning the full go-to-market process from product concept through commercialization, distribution, and lifecycle management. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally to build an integrated channel roadmap, strengthen customer engagement, and ensure product, packaging, and pricing strategies

align with market needs.

Key Responsibilities

o Strategic Leadership : Define and execute the product and channel strategy for the industrial business, ensuring alignment with business objectives and profitability targets.

o Product Management : Oversee assigned product lines, managing the full lifecycle from innovation and development through launch, commercialization, and rationalization.

o Channel Ownership : Develop and manage multi-channel go-to-market strategies across distribution, OEM, dealer, and direct sales networks. Identify new opportunities to expand reach and drive revenue.

o Sales Enablement : Provide resources, tools, and programs to enhance sales team effectiveness, including training, channel marketing support, and launch materials.

o Go-to-Market Execution : Collaborate with marketing and product teams to plan and execute launches, packaging updates, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns tailored for each channel.

o Financial Accountability : Own product line, tracking performance against sales, margin, and market share goals. Make data-driven recommendations for pricing, product mix, and channel investment.

o Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with Operations, Engineering, Design, and Marketing to ensure stakeholder alignment from concept to customer delivery.

o Channel Analysis & Insights : Monitor channel performance, competitive activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities for growth or optimization.

o Packaging & Presentation : Ensure packaging design and messaging resonate with end users and retail environments, reflecting how the product sells and is experienced in the channel.

o Performance Metrics : Establish, track, and communicate key KPIs across product and channel operations, ensuring accountability and visibility to leadership.

Qualifications :

o 810+ years of experience in product management, channel strategy, or distribution leadership within industrial, safety, tools, or manufacturing sectors (CPG experience not applicable).

o Proven success managing complex product portfolios and developing effective channel programs that drive measurable sales growth.

o Strong understanding of distribution, rep-agent, and OEM ecosystems, including pricing, packaging, and promotional alignment.

o Ability to develop, plan and execute long and short-term goals.

o Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing up effectively.

o Analytical and financially oriented, with experience in ownership and performance management.

o Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to articulate strategy and results across departments.

o Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

o Hands-on, collaborative, and entrepreneurial willing to roll up sleeves to meet deadlines and support team goals.

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong MS Office knowledge.

o Medical / EMT background a plus.
