Job Description Summary :
The Mathematics Faculty supports learning on campus, all distance learning modalities. Responsible to prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to student success and creating an environment that promotes belonging for all. This position starts in August 2026.
Job Description :
The Mathematics Department offers both developmental level and college credit courses both on campus, at 11 campus locations, and online, in both synchronous and asynchronous formats. The department offers dual enrollment college credit courses for area high school students seeking to earn both high school and college credit. In addition to standard course offerings, the department offers a wide range of co-required developmental level / college credit math courses taught by faculty pairs, requiring ongoing collaboration and communication. The department is dedicated to the use of curriculum that is responsive to the students it serves, offering non-STEM alternatives to the traditional algebra / calculus track and corequisite models for developmental-level students, while regularly updating the approach to teaching all levels of mathematics using data to assess impacts on student success and to identify areas in need of change.
