Senior Manager, Planning & Development

SUMMARY

The Southern California Regional Rail Authority, the operator of the METROLINK Regional Passenger Rail System, is seeking a Senior Manager, Planning & Development. This role provides leadership and oversight for the Planning and Development Department, managing a wide range of planning activities. The Senior Manager will direct and execute initiatives related to regional, multi-modal transportation operations, longer-term service growth, capital program development, business initiatives and organizational initiatives, and environmental review projects to support the continued growth and sustainability of Metrolink.

At this level, incumbents will be able to work with minimal direction and exercise sound judgement; and serve as subject matter experts. They possess the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience necessary to manage multiple complex projects effectively.

Working Conditions

The position requires work in a normal office environment. Occasional visits to field work sites or warehouses.. Work may also be conducted in outdoor environments, at construction sites, Railroad tracks and Right-of-Way environments, and warehouse environments, with possible exposure to exposure to excessive noise, dust, or temperature, hostile or irate individuals, and moving mechanical parts, and loud noises (85+ decibels, such as heavy trucks, construction, etc.).
