Senior Director Operations
As a Senior Director - Operations you will be responsible for the performance of all operational functions of a large, complex location. You will provide strategic leadership to meet and optimize established levels of business performance objectives, service, productivity, and quality. You will partner with leaders across supply chain, operations, and the business units to drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities :
- Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
- Lead team to ensure objectives are met, including driving customer service excellence plans, setting and managing performance targets, and employee performance management.
- Partner with Lean Leadership, ensuring LEAN methodologies are utilized and action plans are developed to correct problem areas and optimize established levels of business performance objectives, service, productivity, and quality.
- Identify, adopt, and implement best practices that enhance operational performance and efficiency.
- Ensures consistent compliance with standard operating procedures, policies, internal audit controls, Sarbanes-Oxley controls, and business management quality system requirements.
- Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement when necessary.
- Identifies market potential through competitor analysis and strategic planning.
- Develops annual business plans, identifies key activities, and priorities.
- Implements and communicates operational strategies and solutions consistent with business plans.
- Provides guidance to operations management in hiring and developing talent.
- Ensures operational excellence goals and audit requirements are met.
- Partners with inventory leaders to ensure region inventory needs and goals are met.
- Provides guidance to ensure business continuity and recovery plans are met.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree preferredLEAN yellow belt certification - Green or Black belt preferred10+ years of operations leadership experienceExperience running large distribution warehouse centers, complex locations or multiple locationsBusiness and management principles, including strategic planning and resource allocation.Strategic thinking skills and ability to work with senior management and regional teams.Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demandsIn depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)Working knowledge of data analysis and performance / operation metricsStrong decision-making and problem solving skills.Strong analytical skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to influence and lead change in a cross-functional team environment.Ability to travel 10% - 25% of the time.At Wesco, we build, connect, power and protect the world.
