General Description
The successful candidate will be a significant contributor on our Project Execution Team. The Automation Engineer is responsible for the lead role in design, development, and implementation of our customers' automation systems during capital projects. The Automation Engineer will often be the lead technical resource on customer projects and deliver quality solutions and services using DeltaV, Asset Management Systems (AMS), and other Emerson solutions. The role requires close interaction with project management and account management to ensure delivery within schedule, budget, and quality expectations, as well as mentoring of other engineers. Additional responsibilities include supporting sales, generating estimates and proposals, and contributing to operations and project management functions.
Specific Responsibilities
Lead and work in a project team to meet schedule and budgetMonitor project scope and evaluate potential deviationsDesign and implement process control strategiesImplement control strategy configurations within the DeltaV DCS systemWrite design documentation for continuous process control applicationsSupport Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Software Acceptance Tests (SAT)Support start-up and commissioning activities at customer sitesTroubleshoot hardware, software, network, and instrument bus technologiesContribute to company procedures and configuration standardsGenerate project configuration estimates and assist in proposal documentsDevelop custom shift, environmental, or production reports for plant maintenance and operations personnelConfigure process modeling & simulation using Mynah MiMic and DeltaVWork independently on-site at customer locationsExhibit excellent verbal and written communication skillsMeet project team commitments and deadlinesWork effectively in a team environment and independently, self-directed, detail-orientedMaintain integrity and reliabilityU.S. Citizen with a valid driver's licenseRequired Education and Experience
