Must-Have : Successful completion of a rhythm test

Description :

Floating between units or facilities may be required.

Travelers may be asked to float to different units or facilities within a 35-mile radius of their original assignment.

Floating will be based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity.

Travelers will always be notified before their scheduled shift if a float assignment is required.

Unit capacity is 36 beds.

Population served includes patients requiring stepdown and intermediate care.

Patients may present with conditions such as chronic respiratory issues, low-dose vasopressor needs, and trauma.

Patients may also require continuous monitoring for various medical conditions.

Ages of patients served range from young adults to late adults (18 - 60+).

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 4 : 1.

Core staffing includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, patient care technicians, and nurse interns.

An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team.
