About the Project
Driving critical application upgrades and new capabilities across multiple workstreams. We're looking for a hands-on Tech Lead who can own solutions end-to-end across architecture, engineering, and delivery.
This contractor will report directly to the Hiring Manager and Senior Manager, and will play a key role in guiding technical decisions, building scalable services, and collaborating across product, architecture, and cloud / platform teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead design, development, and architecture across multiple JET workstreams
Own solutions end-to-end, including code quality, performance, cloud readiness, and maintainability
Develop high-quality services and UIs using .NET 8, C#, and Angular 17+
Build and optimize applications on AWS (EKS, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, RDS)
Partner closely with cross-functional teams and participate in technical decision-making
Support release planning, code reviews, troubleshooting, and overall engineering leadership
Required Skills
Strong experience with .NET (preferably .NET 8) and C#
Proficiency with Angular 17 or higher
Hands-on cloud development experience with AWS (EKS, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, RDS)
Nice-to-Have Skills
AWS Certification
AWS IAM, SQS, Secrets Manager
Mobile experience (Swift, Objective-C)
Work Model
Hybrid : Work from anywhere in the U.S. with ability to travel to Chicago or Houston for key meetings
No fixed onsite days; travel is occasional and reimbursed
Standard hours : 8am 5pm CT
