Roles & Responsibilities
A BA will visit the client at home or in the community to provide relief to caregivers and holistic support to youth.Our BA's typically work 2-20 hours weekly in 2-4 hour shifts starting after 3 : 00pm during the school year and as early as 8 : 30am during the summer. Services are available any day of the week to accommodate the scheduling needs of our clients.Individual Support Plan development and implementationDelivery and monitoring of behavior analysis servicesSubmission of weekly clinical progress notes, within 24 hours of service provision Intake Data AssessmentsData collection and display (e.g., graphics) as authorized by a recipient's behavioral analysis service planCompliance with service authorization, including time frames and service hoursImplement interventions in the Individual Support PlanImplementation of behavioral procedures for the acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviorsCarry out treatment as designated by the supervising behavior analyst which includes :Facilitating environmental arrangementsUsing proactive strategiesTeaching and developing new skillsManaging specific consequences for behavior based on functionMust be willing to work with the child or youth to increase ADL (Assisted Daily Living) skills within their home as well as during community outingsAssist parent / guardian in the implementation of the treatment planAssist the behavior analyst in the training of caregivers and / or staffCrisis prevention, recognition, and interventionEnsure all agency policies are implemented and followedParticipate in required trainingQualifications
Must have completed free CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification course or be able to complete within 6 months of hireBachelor's Degree in psychology or related field2-4 years experience in behavioral healthcare (maladaptive behaviors)2-4 years experience working with children with disabilities (developmental / intellectual disabilities, mental illness)Valid NJ Driver's license and proof of car insuranceConsent to and pass State / Federal Criminal Background ChecksBilingual (Spanish Speaking) WelcomeCandidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
