Job Description – Contingent Resource (Loan Workout Quality Assurance)

Location: 800 S Jordan Creek Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA
Schedule: Onsite, 5 days/week (Required)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented contingent worker to support the Loan Workout organization by performing low‑complexity Quality Assurance (QA) reviews related to civil legal matters. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in legal documentation, collections law, or civil litigation who are looking to apply their expertise in a structured, compliance‑driven environment.

In this position, you will work under defined guidelines and receive direction from a supervisor while building a strong understanding of internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with internal partners and provide accurate, timely information to stakeholders within Loan Workout.

Responsibilities

• Review physical legal documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal standards and state-specific requirements.
• Validate information prior to distribution to third‑party legal partners.
• Verify notarization details and ensure documentation meets all legal formatting standards.
• Conduct judgment and complaint validations as needed.
• Support low‑complexity initiatives within Loan Workout by researching basic policy or procedural questions and providing prompt responses.
• Exercise sound judgment within established parameters and escalate issues appropriately.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in Loan Workout or Commercial Lending, OR equivalent experience through work history, consulting, military service, training, or education.
• 1+ year of professional experience in a relevant field.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document review.
• Understanding of credit card processes and terminology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of collections law.
• Experience with civil litigation or civil legal procedures.
• Prior experience in Quality Assurance or performing QA‑related functions.
• Paralegal certification (nice to have).
• Strong general computer skills.

Project Overview

You will join a Quality Assurance team responsible for reviewing legal and verification documents tied to active civil legal actions involving customers. This work supports operational accuracy, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality client experience.
