Information Security Engineer II - Automation

Overview

Mass General Brigham is looking for a talented Information Security Engineer II with a focus on automation and security engineering. In this role, you’ll design, develop, and maintain scalable automation tools that support incident response, vulnerability management, and compliance workflows. We’re seeking someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to make a direct impact on the security posture of one of the most respected healthcare systems in the world.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation scripts and workflows to enhance security operations.
• Design integrations between security tools using APIs and orchestration platforms (e.g., SOAR, SIEM, CI / CD pipelines).
• Develop and maintain automated playbooks for incident response.
• Identify manual, repetitive tasks across security operations and propose automated solutions.
• Collaborate closely with security analysts, engineers, and DevOps to understand pain points and implement smart automation.
• Participate in architectural discussions to ensure security automation aligns with best practices.
• Document automation processes, scripts, and tool integrations.
• Mentor junior team members in secure coding and automation frameworks.
• Embody and promote Mass General Brigham's core values in your work.
