Operations Manager

The Operations Manager ensures the efficient production of rice, managing quantity, quality. personnel and costs. This position oversees the Mill, Mill QC, Shipping, Maintenance, Sanitation, Administrative duties, and Safety programs.

Responsibilities :

• Mill / Shipping / QC - manage the Mill and oversee production workforce : training, personnel, quality of product, schedule monitoring and make adjustments as needed. Ensure Mill is operating at peak efficiency at all levels including, Shipping and QC
• Maintenance - manage established maintenance schedule (preventive maintenance) and recommend capital improvements to keep Mill running at peak performance
• Sanitation - oversee maintaining a clean and safe facility, ensuring it is SQF ready and following established sanitation schedules
• Administrative - oversee all administrative duties, prepare reports (production, productivity, goals)
• Safety - manage facility Safety program : Weekly Safety Meetings and Safety Walk-thru
• Personnel - oversee training schedules, performance evaluations, provide continuous motivation, guidance and support to employees to build a high-performing team. Work closely with all leaders, namely the Logistics Manager, to ensure a seamless chain of events
• Overall : Implement and lead continuous improvement plans (Job Improvement Methods), monitor spending and ensure that resources are allocated properly so that the facility is running optimally.
